Frequently Asked Questions

How can I see you perform or work at a(n) Event?

We have a large selection of wedding DVD's that you are more than welcome to view. This will give you the opportunity to view the quality work that we provide for all our Brides & Grooms/Clients. Also please refer to the feedback page from our previous Brides& Grooms/Clients.

What kind of music do you have?
We offer a huge selection of music from the 1930's to present. We also have a wide variety of Spanish/Latin music which allows us to accommodate all of your musical needs. If there is a special song that we may not have, we will do everything possible to help you find it or get it.

What do you wear?
A tux is normally worn at most weddings and receptions, otherwise we dress accordingly to whatever our Brides & Grooms/Clients request.

Do you charge for set up or break down?
In most cases no, this depends upon the accessibility of location where function is held, i.e.; second story ballroom with no elevator access, backyard with no walkways or paths, etc.

How many weddings/receptions have you performed at?

I have performed at 175+ weddings and receptions from 1996 to present. I usually average 30-40 weddings/receptions a year. In addition to this, about 150 or more private parties and corporate functions included.

How early do you arrive?
No less than one hour prior to the event, as stated in our contract. Sometimes earlier than that, depending on the venue. We feel that it is important to arrive early, to allow time for any unexpected traffic delays, weather or technical difficulties.

Do you take breaks?
No. We always come with your main DJ and an assistant. In this case there is no need to take a break. We always want to make sure everything is flowing perfect; having the two-person team ensures this.

Do you have lights?
Yes. In the past eight years I have only used lights for three weddings. Most of the time lights are used at private parties. Depending on what your event requires we have it or we can get it.

How much room do you need for your equipment?
What do we need to supply for your set up? As stated in our contract, enough room for 2-2X6 or 2X8 tables 25 feet from an outlet, that is 110/120-volt outlet (3 prong grounded). The facility should be open no less than one hour prior to the event.

What happens if you got sick, or some tragic event happens in your life? Do you have back up?
I have been very lucky to say that up to date I have never missed a gig. Knock on wood. In the event such a thing should happen, it would go to the next NDK representative available. If they were unavailable we would book one of our local professionals that has the same standards as NDK PROFESSIONAL DJ SERVICE.

What kind of equipment do you use?
Pioneer mixers, QSC amps and Sure microphones, wireless and wired. Pioneer & Dennon CD players and Elector Voice Speakers. All equipment is in tiptop condition and all backed up on the property at your event. This is to ensure that if we have technical difficulties your party will not have to end. This is our insurance policy to you.

What type of events do you do?

We specialize in weddings and receptions. We also perform at private parties, dinner parties, corporate parties, anniversaries, birthday parties, surprise parties, holiday parties and just about any kind of event you could think of.
